73% of our Maryland voter file is phone matched, giving you a great opportunity to get in touch with your voters by phone. Phone matching and verifying is performed quarterly to maintain freshness and reduce the number of bad phone numbers.

Reach Out Communications can provide your campaign or organization with targeted phone lists for donor acquisition, get out the vote, persuasion, volunteer prospects, polling and more. These lists can be sent directly to your phone vendor or your campaign, in paper form, electronically or both.

Pricing depends on the size of the list and complexity of the selection criteria.

Quantity vs. Quality

Having a high percentage of phone numbers does not tell the whole story. The phone match process takes the voter's name and full address and compares it to various telephone databases. Many phone numbers match perfectly, but others aren't an exact match. A phone match confidence level is returned along with the phone number which tells us how accurate the phone match was. Confidence levels range from 1 (very high) to 7 (very low). Of course, people move and change their phone numbers every day, so there is never a perfect phone list.

Using Confidence Levels

If you are using real, live volunteers to make phone calls, you will probably want a very high phone confidence level (either a 1 or 2). These are our Best Matches and will result in the fewest wrong numbers. About 85% of our phone numbers have a confidence level of 1 or 2.

If you are using an automated calling service or a telemarketing company, you may wish to be more tolerant of phone match errors in hopes of reaching more voters. We include confidence levels 1 through 5 in our Good Matches. 93% of our phone numbers hve a confidence level of 1 through 5.

By including confidence levels 6 and 7 you increase the number of voters you can reach by phone, but with an higher chance of a wrong number. Polling firms often include these phone numbers because they will include the widest range of voters.
